Molloy Family Business History
The Molloy Family, through D.P. Molloy was a founder of Industrial Element & Heating Co in 1958, which they operated until selling in the mid 1980s. The company is still a successful player in its industry today.
In the early 1990s, Andrew Molloy looked to enter the exciting field of the Internet which had recently been re-invented with the introduction of the Mosaic Web Browser which enabled easier viewing of the files shared between various Computers connected to the Internet.
Andrew Molloy, Managing Director of Australian Media Pty Ltd is an Internet Pioneer who dreamed of an online world back in the mid 1980s. In the following years Andrew operated several Internet businesses:
Home Internet Connections - connecting small businesses and homes to the Internet, when there was no such thing as a starter disc/ CD ROM.
WWW Technology Mall - a system to sell electronics, especially Mobile Phones over the Internet
Net Ezy - designing, hosting and registering the web site addresses for small business.
In 2000, Andrew and Melissa Molloy whom owned many .com, .net, .org domain names of their own, decided to specialise in the development of their own Internet Sites, through the formation of Australian Media Pty Ltd. AustralianMedia.com is the largest non-publicly listed Australian Internet Publisher.
Today, a division of the company, the Gambling Network, featuring Casinos.Net is amongst the largest online casinos portals in the world.
